About

AMTEN

The African-Mediterranean Trade and Economic Network (AMTEN) was established to address the economic and trade gap between Sub-Saharan Africa and the Mediterranean region.
Historically, trade routes like the Trans-Saharan route connected these regions, but recent economic agreements have largely focused on North Africa, leaving Sub-Saharan Africa underrepresented. AMTEN aims to bridge this gap by creating a comprehensive, inclusive framework that fully integrates Sub-Saharan Africa into the African-Mediterranean economic ecosystem.

AMTEN operates through regional chapters:

  1. Middle East Chapter
  2. Southern European Chapter
  3. North African Chapter
  4. West African Chapter
  5. East African Chapter
  6. Central African Chapter
  7. South African Chapter
